We want to introduce you to our new highly qualified dentist Natnael Desta. Although he is originally from Ethiopia, he grew up in Zimbabwe and then spent nearly a decade in Spain training and qualifying as a dentist. During that time, he also completed two Spanish masters degrees in the beautiful and sunny city of Valencia, where he specialised in Endodontics and implant rehabilitation. He also lived half a year in the Netherlands as he earned a full scholarship to work there in a hospital.
So, Nat’s travelled around quite a bit and has done plenty of courses before settling here in Worthing, we are very lucky and delighted to have someone with his clinical and interpersonal skills at our dental practice. We asked Nat how he would describe his approach to a patient looking for a dentist and this is what he said:
”For me, dentistry is more than just about fixing teeth, it’s about building meaningful long-term relationships with my patients. I take pride in establishing trust and building a rapport with everyone who walks through our practice door. I take the time to explain procedures in a clear and concise manner, alleviating any fears and answering any uncertainties they may have.”
Nat has two research papers in Endodontics and periodontal disease published in peer-reviewed international medical journals, he’s earned various honours scholarships during his undergraduate training and presented clinical cases of his Endodontic treatments in a few Spanish universities. Even though he has already qualified in Spain in implant rehabilitation, Nat never seems to stop studying as he is currently enrolled at University College London at the Eastman Dental Institute on a part-time masters degree in implant dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, he loves playing tennis, going diving and running marathons. Nat is an avid reader of non-fiction and enjoys spending as much time as possible away from his phone, which is a bit tricky for him due to his busy schedule!
